SteelCityCars.in is a local online marketplace that helps buyers discover used vehicles listed by approved dealers and contact those dealers directly. By creating an account or using the website, you agree to these policies.
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a transaction.
- “Approved” or “Certified Dealer” means the dealer account has been reviewed by SteelCityCars. It is not a guarantee of any vehicle, statement, document or transaction.
- SteelCityCars is not the owner, seller, buyer, broker, financier, insurer or payment agent for any listed vehicle.
- Users must provide accurate information, keep their account secure and use the service lawfully.
Payments and vehicle paperwork
- SteelCityCars does not collect, hold, transfer or guarantee any booking amount, deposit, part-payment or vehicle-purchase payment.
- Every vehicle payment is arranged directly between the buyer and the dealer, outside the website. SteelCityCars is not a party to that transaction.
- The dealer is responsible for issuing payment receipts and for the vehicle’s ownership, authenticity, condition, price and documents.
- The dealer must provide applicable RC, insurance, PUC, tax and challan details, finance or hypothecation clearance, NOC and ownership-transfer documents.
- The dealer must initiate and assist with the legal ownership-transfer process. The buyer must inspect the vehicle, independently verify the dealer and documents, and complete buyer-side requirements before making payment.
- SteelCityCars is not responsible for payment disputes, deposits, document fraud, undisclosed defects or transfer delays, except where responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.
Never pay a deposit merely because a listing or dealer shows an approval badge. Verify the vehicle and obtain written terms and a receipt directly from the dealer.
Dealer agreement and listing rules
Only dealerships approved by SteelCityCars may publish vehicle listings. Dealers must:
- Have lawful authority to advertise and sell every listed vehicle.
- Provide accurate make, model, variant, year, price, kilometres, mileage, fuel type, ownership count, insurance validity and location.
- Disclose accident, repair, repainting, replacement and other relevant work history truthfully.
- Upload 6–10 clear photographs of the actual vehicle, with each image no larger than 8 MB.
- Remove or mark a vehicle sold promptly and respond honestly to buyer enquiries.
- Not post stolen vehicles, forged documents, misleading prices, duplicate listings, unrelated goods, illegal material or another party’s photographs.
- Handle all buyer money, receipts, delivery and paperwork directly and responsibly.
First month free with up to 4 active cars. After the trial: ₹1,799 per month for up to 10 active cars. SteelCityCars charges no commission on vehicle sales.
Buyer guidelines
- Inspect and test-drive the vehicle before purchase, preferably with an independent mechanic.
- Match the chassis and engine details with the RC and verify insurance, PUC, service history, pending challans and finance status.
- Confirm the dealer’s identity, showroom address, final price, included items and refund terms in writing.
- Use a traceable payment method only after verification and obtain a signed receipt from the dealer.
- Complete the applicable ownership-transfer steps promptly. Do not rely only on the listing description or approval badge.
- Report suspicious listings or dealer conduct to SteelCityCars for review.
Privacy policy
SteelCityCars uses personal data only for operating, securing and improving the marketplace.
Information we may process
- Google account identity information such as verified email, display name and account identifier. SteelCityCars never receives your Google password.
- Dealer business details, phone and WhatsApp numbers, showroom address, listings, uploaded photographs and documents voluntarily provided.
- Saved vehicles, vehicle views and shares, login progress, enquiry activity, account status, security records and technical information needed to operate the service.
- Website usage information collected through Google Analytics, such as pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location and interaction events.
How information is used and shared
- To provide accounts, listings, favourites, enquiries, dealer review, moderation, support, security and legal compliance.
- To measure visits, understand how people use the website and improve its performance and content.
- Approved dealer contact and showroom information is shown only to signed-in customers so they can contact the dealer.
- Information may be processed by service providers used for authentication, analytics, hosting, storage, security and website operations, or disclosed when legally required.
- SteelCityCars does not sell personal data. We retain information only as needed for the service, disputes, safety, fraud prevention and legal obligations.
Your choices
You may request access, correction or deletion of your account information, or withdraw consent where applicable. Some records may be retained where required for security, disputes or law. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no online service can promise absolute security.
Review, removal and account action
SteelCityCars may review, reject, hide or remove listings and may suspend or close accounts for misleading information, unsafe conduct, fraud concerns, repeated complaints, policy violations or legal requirements. Users may be asked for additional verification. Serious suspected fraud or unlawful activity may be reported to the appropriate authorities.
These policies may be updated as the marketplace, pricing or applicable requirements change. Material changes will be shown on the website with a revised effective date.
